Americas Toughest Jobs Favorite Moments
Just had to pot this clip from the first episode aboard the crabbing boats on the Bering Sea. This clip shows when the deck boss came around and told everyone they would each need to bite the head off a herring as it is done traditionally aboard the boats for good luck. Amy was quick to come forward and confess she has a “convenient” food allergy and will have to pass. Even funnier is Sandy’s comments and Eric going back for thirds…

Dream Job: Something outside. I don’t have to be the boss but I like to do things at my own pace. I would love to be a travel guide or explorer. I often say I was born in the wrong time period.
Why do you want to be on ATJ? I think people see me as like this immature kid, this pretty boy kid fresh out of college. But I’m here to show them I can do this better than anyone else.
Why do you think you can win ATJ? I’m like Iceman from “Top Gun.” I don’t make mistakes and always get the job done right and on time.
What are your strengths? My background as a lifeguard; it’s a job where you have to be very physical and endurance is pretty high.
Weaknesses? I’m not super-aggressive. I’m competitive but I don’t cut other people off.
What are your best qualities? I’m easy to get along with.
Worst? I’m too forgiving.
What are your biggest fears? Closed spaces, failure, drowning.
Other interesting characteristics: Is “scared to death” of commitment; apart from football and basketball, he is an avid surfer.

Why do you want to be on ATJ? It doesn’t take the most brain energy to do what I do. It’s not the most exciting stuff. So, an opportunity to go somewhere exciting, it’s great.
Why do you think you can win ATJ? I see myself as a warrior, someone who is strong and capable.
What are your strengths? I’m very adaptable, mentally and also physically. My body can be put through a lot of strain.
Weaknesses? I get emotional and I start to cry. I’m a bit of a weeping willow. But it’s more of a physical thing.
What are your best qualities? I refuse to be mediocre. I refuse to do anything half-way.
Worst? I’m not focused enough, so I’m scattered in a million directions.
What are your biggest fears? Failure, base jumping, drowning, falling and sharks.
Other interesting characteristics: Senta is named after a character in the opera “The Flying Dutchman;” she refers to LA as “The Mighty Avocado;” went on a 5 day trek of the lower Himalayas; loves airplane food.

Why do you want to be on ATJ? It’s time for a new career, so I’m doing a little bit of experimenting and trying to see what else is out there. I’m trying to see what the world has got to offer.
Why do you think you can win ATJ? I refuse to lose. I outwork anyone that I’m ever next to.
What are your strengths? I refuse to lose.
Weaknesses? I have no weaknesses. I rock at everything I do.

Why do you want to be on ATJ? I want to make my family proud. They mean everything to me. Everything I do is for my family.
Why do you think you can win ATJ? My martial arts history. I’ve been competing a long time. It takes a lot of mental preparation and you gotta definitely expect the unexpected.
What are your strengths? I’m definitely an adrenalin junkie and I like to be challenged.
Weaknesses? I’ve never done any type of blue-collar work or anything. I don’t even like mowing the lawn.
What are your best qualities? I’m a risk-taker. I’m definitely going to push the envelope. I’m fierce and I’m tough.
Worst? Not listening to authority figures.
What are your biggest fears? None.
Other interesting characteristics: Multiple world titles for martial arts.
